Stella works at the Brighton Permaculture Trust as the Course and Events Manager, but also has her professional vocation of green roofing. She works in and around Brighton creating living roofs that retain rain water, moderate temperature, look great, and sometimes grow hassle free strawberries – bonus! We get to talk about the work of the Trust. This podcast is jumping the release queue in order to extend the invitation to the listeners to the event that is taking place on the 25th of March 2017. This will be the Green Architecture Day, and will provide education regarding everything from planning, design and build, and real life stories. See details in the notes below.

Apple day at Stanmore Park yearly – end of September. 5000 people last time.
Food Partnership have a plot near the trust.
Low Carbon Trust run the earthship.
Operating costs of the trust are covered partly by revenue from courses, and partly from external funding.

We are very privileged to be able to use the communication technology for sharing knowledge.
Imagine trailing strawberries hanging from your roof.
IDEA: Would the Permaculture Association be interested in stories from people who took courses at the Trust? Since it’s been running for over 20 years, it may provide some valuable insight into what happens after we take a course.
